UCSF Center for Healthcare Value - Caring Wisely 2.0

Crowd-sourcing innovative cost savings ideas from the front lines of care delivery systems

About Caring Wisely 2.0

Summary

The UCSF Center for Healthcare Value is in search of the best ideas to reduce waste and health care costs through its Caring Wisely campaign.

The top 10 ideas for target areas will be selected and will serve as the basis for a second round of solicitations to the UCSF community for proposal development. People whose ideas are selected among the top 10 will receive a $100 gift certificate to a local restaurant.

Anyone can submit an idea; you do not need to plan to submit a proposal for development and implementation (but others could create a proposal based on your idea).

In the event of duplicate ideas, only the first submitted will be considered; be sure to send your idea early!

Criteria for Winning Ideas

We will select the top 10 ideas (for each site) for target areas for a second round of solicitations (Phase II) to the UCSF community for specific proposals for implementing. A selection committee that includes administration, staff and clinicians from each site will review and rank all ideas. Anyone can submit an idea; you do not need to plan to submit a proposal for implementation (but others could create a proposal based on your idea!).
