As UCSF moves more employees into open plan work environments how does the institution manage the (currently) physical documents associated with their work and the historical documents that need to be readily accessible to employees.
Initiate a comprehensive scoping project to determine best options for a campus wide document management system and identify possible funding options.
SCOPING project will
- •not expect or require that any system currently in use be abandoned unless the units using them chose to move to a different solution if provided;
- will review whether to roll out some improved version Perceptis/ImageNow for broader campus use in an affordable form;
- will look at options that other units have deployed (like UDAR) to determine if they might be appropriate for broader campus use;
- will review other vendor solutions for ease of installment, usage and affordability.
