Improving Patient Awareness of Incidental Radiological Findings For Emergency Department Discharges

Primary Author: Aaron Kornblith
OPG Proposal Status:

The Clinical Problem

Patients presenting to the emergency department (ED) present for acute symptoms or problems. However, many ED visits result in hospital discharges since the acute emergency condition was either resolved or sufficiently treated for outpatient follow-up. However, since the ED is focused on managing emergency conditions, subacute and chronic conditions are less likely to be cared for in the ED.
