Caring Wisely 2015 Ideas Contest

Crowd-sourcing cost-saving ideas from the front lines of care delivery systems

Coming Soon! Call for Learning Healthcare System Proposals

Later this month (January 30, to be exact!), we will issue our second annual call to the UCSF community for Learning Health System project proposals.  It will be similar, though not identical to last year’s call.  If you’re interested, we encourage you to start developing ideas, and watch for the Jan 30 email.

All UCSF faculty, fellows, and staff will be invited to submit proposals and encouraged to propose projects that address health outcomes important to UCSF Health (e.g., PRIME, P4P, MACRA), projects based at the Benioff Children’s Hospital San Francisco (or other Mission Bay sites), projects relevant to inpatients or outpatients, and projects that will use APeX to deliver the intervention (e.g., via standard order sets, decision support, clinician alerts, etc.).

Status updates have been posted for the 2 previously funded projects below.

Please also note that a similar call for Ideas and Project Proposals is being issued for the Center for Healthcare Value’s Caring Wisely program, which focuses on reducing inefficiencies and healthcare costs at UCSF Health.  These are distinct, but coordinated efforts; we welcome dual submissions, as long as they meet criteria.
