Research Collaboration Proposals

Eligibility

HOMERuN members (individual, organizational,or stakeholders) are welcome to apply

Review Criteria

Projects should target patients cared for Hospitalists (general medicine patients, patients in ICU settings where hospitalists also provide care, hospitalists in consultative roles, or surgical comanagement) and/or include collaboration with Hospital Medicine groups (or individual Hospital Medicine physicians or researchers).

 

Study designs could include observational or interventional studies in such domains as quality improvement, patient safety, implementation science, and comparative effectiveness.

 

Programs should focus CDRN sites affiliated with the HOMERuN CRG (see list), and include use of PCORnet data wherever possible. A full listing of PCORnet data elements and the PCORnet Common Data Model is here:http://www.pcornet.org/pcornet-common-data-model/. 

Projects may also request (or plan for) enhancements to PCORnet data as part of their research plan.

Timeline

  • May-June Open Submission Phase

    This Open Submission process is intended to allow researchers from HOMERuN CRG sites to submit their ideas and receive feedback intended to improve the science proposed, identify interested sites, and get practical feedback on issues such as feasibility and usefulness.
