Concept Description:

In the US, nearly 50,000 children die annually and nearly half a million children have complex chronic conditions.1 Care for these children is currently expensive and inadequate due to limited availability of complex care and palliative care programs. 2,3 Training providers to care for this growing population of children is critical to improving quality and health outcomes for this vulnerable subset of patients and their families.
