Concept Description:

In the US, nearly 50,000 children die annually and nearly half a million children have complex chronic conditions.¹ Care for these children is currently expensive and inadequate due to limited availability of complex care and palliative care programs. ^2,3 Training providers to care for this growing population of children is critical to improving quality and health outcomes for this vulnerable subset of patients and their families.
