Cycle Closure - FY23-24

Thank you to all who participated in the FY23-24 cycle. The proposals were compelling and addressed a variety of priority health topics. This cycle is closed, and applicants were notified of the results. Three proposals were funded: 1) $260,000 over two years was awarded for "Poetic Medicine for Grief: Creating Safe Space for Diverse Stories of Loss – A Proposal for Building Racially-Tailored Bereavement Programs in two Mount Zion/SF BIPOC Communities," UCSF PI: Dr. Mike Rabow (UCSF MERI Center at MZ), in collaboration with Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care (CACCC) PI: Ms. Sandy Chen Stokes & AC Care Alliance/San Francisco African American Faith-based Coalition (SFAAFBC) PI: Dr. Clyde Oden, Jr.; 2) $6,000 over three years was awarded for “Allies for Health: Partnership between UCSF and Hilltop High School," UCSF PI: Dr. Amanda Orley (UCSF Pediatrics), in collaboration with SF Unified School District Hilltop High School, PI: Ms. Bissa Zamboldi-Moore; 3) $22,343 over three years was awarded for “Trauma-Informed Care Training for Pediatric Residents with Glide Center for Social Justice," UCSF PIs: Drs. Marta Kosinki & Amy Whittle (UCSF Pediatrics), in collaboration with Glide Center for Social Justice PIs: Ms. Maritza Estrada-Esquivel & Rabbi Michael Lezak.
