The climate crisis is a significant global and local health determinant, with climate disasters and environmental changes already threatening the health of our patients. Furthermore, healthcare systems contribute substantially to the emissions that drive the climate crisis. Despite these well-known linkages between human health and disease, health care systems, and the climate crisis, there is an absence of comprehensive climate health curricula in the health professions – an important gap that must be bridged.
Continuous self-evaluation is a critical skill for trainees to develop in residency. Current literature suggests that self-evaluations alone are error-prone and biased, but that this may be overcome with tools such as external formative feedback, as well as video review.

The proposed concept incorporates didactics and experiential learning to increase the capacity of healthcare students in the needs and care of homeless individuals who are unsheltered. Utilizing the framework detailed in Curriculum Development for Medical Education: A Six-Step Approach (3rd Edition, Thomas, Kern, Hughes, & Chen), we aim to plan an educational opportunity that is interdisciplinary, evidence-based, and utilizes a population-centered approach to providing health care.
